Easel w/o Instructions
So, I got a new easel while I was in Atlanta---ecstatic that it only cost $12.99 plus 30% off of that, I grabbed it and wanted more (for a paint party I'm planning) but stuck to the one for now. After taking down my Christmas tree I decided to finally put it together...to my surprise, I never noticed there was NO, ZERO, ZIP, NADA instructions/directions! I was in a bit of shock but that didn't last long at all because I am a whiz at putting things together with or without directions. But this task took me for loops after looking at all the pieces laying in the floor with only a tiny picture of the easel assembled on the package's tag. After putting the legs together, I was left with 2 short pieces of wood meant to hold the canvas and a chain. I was like "wht the crap"! I has a hole in the middle of both pieces of wood but it made sense to me for there to be 2 holes and neither would be in the middle...so after I couldnt figure it out I resulted to the All Mighty INTERNET! I Googled "Hobby Lobby Easel w/o Instructions" and it brought me right to a blog with the help I needed to finish off my easel. It's amazing how great how the internet is so freak'n useful!

My Sissy is a Thinker
I know most of my readers are readers of my sissy poo, Gabie Denise's blog but I just read this one blog by her that is just one of a kind. I dont know why I didnt think to blog about it 1st but then again, I havent really had time to do much outside of school work yet alone blog about life. Catching you up...again
I know, It's been a while. I can't believe I almost forgot about my blog...that's just how busy I have been, ppl! So let me catch you up real quick -- because, again, I am busy.
Of course, school is in and work is still going. I am now taking 12 hours in school after dropping one of my classes. It has made life a lil easier for me so that was a good move. Being an English major consists of plenty plenty plenty writing. So, this is the 5th week of classes -- want to guess how many papers & test/quizzes I have had thus far? You'll never guess. Brace yourself: I have written 6 papers - 2 of which were 4 pages long (draft and final); I have taken 4 test/quizzes. YEP! A lot. But get this, on top of that I have homework every night! So, that's the college life.
Work...well, work is just work. Nothing interesting or exciting there. I just show up, complete the contracts and leave at exactly 5pm. No overtime, no chit chat - just straight get to it and get out!
Entertainment wise, I have had a few projects land in my hands. Just recently, casting for 2 music videos (pop & hip hop), getting my "cameo" on in one of the videos, and doing make-up for them both. It was fun yet very tiresome due to the load the college life had upon me at that moment. BUT, I couldn't let that opportunity pass me by. This is a project that will be lasting the remainder of the year; working set 2-3 videos a month & casting for them...yeah, busy and tiresome but it's my type of hard work.
Well readers, I just wanted to take a minute to update you on the Life of CherokeeBarbie (Ariel) and let you know I haven't completely forgotten about my blog.

Twitter...
So, my sis has me "Twitter'n"! She claims it will become addictive but I don't know about that. Maybe, Maybe NOT! I mean, I dont really get it. Like what do I do with it? Just let my followers know what I am doing at whatever point I decide to 'Tweet'...idk, Maybe it can come in handy for networking purposes but other than that I think it will be...silly.
Now I must admit the app for my phone is neat and cute and it makes me want to 'tweet' but...about what? with a limit of characters everything is going to be short and straight to the point. I think I rather blog...but then sometimes my blogs can be 140 characters or less...hmm...maybe this 'Twitter' thing can come in handy.

Just One of Them Days!
For those of you who don't know, I have started back school! Today marked Week 2 but so far...cool. Also, today is/was truely one of those famous days the singer Monica sings about.
My day started with me waking late and not wanting to get out of bed at all which caused me to run a little behind for my 1st class this morning; but it was cool, I made it right in the nick of time! After a morning of classes, I wanted to grab some grub. It was soon brought to my attention I will never be able to grab a bite to eat from the campus UC in the 45 minute break that i scheduled so perfectfuly for me to have time for lunch. This is so because it seems as if the whole student body was thinking the same as I when scheduling classes. So, was starved and it caused me to become furious by the length of the lines and amount of people all around me with all of their chatter!
I ended up finding a Subway not too far off campus and enjoyed lunch there. From now on, I will (9/10 times) be having lunch somewhere off campus!
Other than that, life has been great! School is coming along and work is still work. Had 2 recent photoshoots and did make-up for the both of them. I will post pictures from that sometime this week, along with updating my website with new photos soon.
It's about that time for me to pass out so, GoodNight my people!

Rainy Days
It's hurricane season and its been raining non-stop in the City! All of the sporadic off and on showers/heavy rain during the day along with the thunder and lightening makes it a bit difficult to get out. Either the sun is bright while you are preparing to get ready and walk out the door, then BAM, its pouring--or its so nice, while in bed, to hear the rain trickle and feel the cozy warmth the dark clouds bring and you just dont wake until its sometime after 4pm...how does one cope? IDK but classes are about to start and I DO NOT need this happening! I think I would be excited about going to class in the rain if I had some rainboots...hmmmm, and a pretty pink rain coat! Now that would be cute. I would go looking for rain puddles just to run and splash in!
What's funny is when I plan to go somewhere & it happens to be raining out, I wear patent pumps--those are like rain shoes to me (only when I'm trying to be cute which is not likely to happen often while its wet out)!
